If you love great Tasmanian food, wine and service at an affordable price, it’s time you make a date with one of our Drysdale restaurants. Sit back and enjoy a delicious dining experience as our hospitality students and apprentice chefs prepare and serve a range of high-quality food and beverages.
Located at each of the Hobart, Launceston and Devonport campuses, the Drysdale Centre of Excellence restaurants are the training ground for Tasmania’s future chefs and hospitality staff.
As a patron, you’ll be an important part of the learning experience as the next generation of Tasmania’s qualified service personnel gain hands-on training under the supervision of our professional teaching staff. It’s a unique way to experience Tasmania’s booming hospitality and tourism industries and support to our up-and-coming hospitality professionals and regional producers.
As a student, you’ll get invaluable experience working on the floor or in a commercial kitchen. You’ll get the chance to think on your feet and communicate with your team, as well as gain the hands-on skills you need to provide a high-quality experience for your patrons.
Bookings
Reservations for group bookings are recommended.
Each of our restaurants take bookings for special events and are available for private hire.
Please note our restaurants only accept payments by card.
Drysdale Hobart Restaurant
Location: 59 Collins Street, Hobart
The Drysdale Hobart Restaurant will open from Friday 7 March 2025.
Check out our Semester 1 dates, and have a look at our new menu for Autumn 2025.
Lunch: Reservations from midday; last seating 1.30pm.
Dinner: Reservations from 5.30pm; last seating 7.30pm.
Friday Arvo Bar: Unwind with an end-of-week drink! The bar will be open on 8 evenings from Friday 14 March into May 2025, from 4pm – 7pm; see the Semester 1 link above for specific dates.
Enjoy a drink with your meal! The bar is also open during lunch and dinner services. Reservations are not required for bar service only.

Drysdale Launceston Restaurant
Location: 93 Paterson Street, Launceston
The Drysdale Launceston Restaurant will open from Wednesday, 5 March.

Friday Night Drinks: The bar will be open from 4:30pm to 7:00pm - Unwind with an end of week drink.

Located at 20 Valley Road, Devonport, the restaurant is open to the public on select days. Bookings are essential.
