This qualification is suitable if you are currently working at an assistant level in a suitable animal care workplace. Whilst not essential, previous industry experience would allow you to build upon your existing skills and knowledge to further your career.

Enquiries for our Workplace course are open at any time. You can enrol once you have a minimum of 15 hours per week of employment at a suitable industry-specific workplace for your hands-on learning which needs to cover all aspects of the units you are studying.

To commence this course, you will meet with one of our Animal Care teachers to discuss your enrolment, select your specific elective units relevant to your work and goals within the industry. They will discuss your on-campus attendance for some units and regular workplace visits.

Once completed, you will be equipped in a wide range of animal care key necessities in a range of job roles such as:
  • Animal Attendant
  • Pet Shop Worker
  • Animal Care and Welfare Officer
  • Animal Care Receptionist
  • Wildlife Carer
  • Pathway to Vet Nursing or Zoo Keeping

You may be keen to start with our entry level Certificate II in Animal Care Campus based course.
