Equip yourself with specialised skills for today’s changing business environment!
Do you want to take on new challenges? Are you ready for more responsibility? Upgrade your career in business and boost your existing knowledge and skills with this Certificate IV-level qualification.
In this course, you will gain a range of practical skills including developing emotional intelligence, applying critical thinking, implementing communication strategies and building business relationships. You’ll explore work health and safety and learn how to undertake project work.
Set yourself apart from your peers! Gain the specialised skills and broad range of knowledge needed to solve a variety of unpredictable problems in a business environment. This qualification is ideal if you are looking to add to your business skillset or gain valuable, transferrable skills that are needed to succeed in many roles.
The Certificate IV in Business is an applied qualification. This means the student is required to clearly demonstrate practical assessment relating to most units. This either occurs in a workplace (in a paid or volunteer position) or if not available, in a simulated work environment.
Some practical assessment can be demonstrated online, but it may be necessary for you to attend a campus, where your application of skills can be physically demonstrated working with others. The workplace needs to have the scope and environment for you to make and influence decisions and manage other employees. For example, an office coordinator / manager in a small business owner with staff. This aspect of the assessment is required for you to meet competency.
Successful completion of this qualification will prepare you to seek employment across a wide range of business roles, including those with supervisory performance accountabilities. You may also like to use this qualification as a pathway for study at Diploma level, such as TasTAFE’s Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420).
This course is also available as a Traineeship.
