Certificate IV in Project Management Practice is a high-level course and not an entry level course. It is highly recommended that applicants entering into the course possess high level skills such as document writing, budgeting and computing experience. These skills can be gained by completing the Certificate III in Business course.
Effective Project Officers/Administators are in high demand across a broad range of industries as organisations are turning to project management approaches to solve unique problems, manage resources and implement new efficiencies.
This course is ideal if you are looking to apply project management skills in government agencies and private enterprise. You will learn how to use key project tools and select and apply appropriate methods to support business activities, as well as apply knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet a range of stakeholder needs and expectations.
In this course you’ll learn how to apply project scope, time, quality, cost and human resource management techniques, as well as information management and communication strategies. You’ll learn all about procurement procedures, risk management and how to apply effective project lifecycle management processes and stakeholder engagement techniques. You’ll also learn how to organise meetings, and implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements.
On successful completion of this course, you will have gained the skills you need to seek employment as a Project Officer/Administrator in a wide range of contexts. You may also be interested in undertaking BSB40120 – Certificate IV in Business, or continue on to a Diploma-level qualification in this area.
