To be eligible for a Fee-Free place you must be:

  • a resident of Tasmania or working in Tasmania
  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an eligible VISA holder, and
  • of working age

Are you currently employed in a care and support role in the community services sector and want to develop skills in providing person centred support to people with disability?

In this 10-week short course you will gain the skills and knowledge to assist with the ongoing skill development of a person with a disability. Learn how to assist with supporting people with a disability in community participation and social inclusion using a person-centred approach. Develop skills to facilitate the empowerment of people with a disability and implement behaviour support strategies outlined in individualised behaviour support plans.

On successful completion of this course, you will achieve the nationally recognised Skill Set: CHCSS00130 Individual Support – Disability Skill Set
