Gain the skills and knowledge to make websites and set yourself up for success in a growing industry.

Website design and development skills are an increasingly sought-after skill set since dynamic and engaging websites are becoming an essential asset for any organisation looking to connect with its target audience.

In this course you’ll design, develop, build and administer standards-compliant, accessible and optimised websites using a range of website technologies and contemporary design process. It’s designed specifically for people who are interested in training for a career in Front-end Design/Development, with areas of specialisation including UI, UX, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL.

The skills you develop in this course align closely with industry standards and well established web-based technologies. You’ll learn how to work with realistic Project Briefs to determine business requirements, design and deliver effective and satisfying solutions that fulfil coding, cybersecurity and accessibility standards. Additionally, you’ll explore how to participate effectively in WHS communication, consultation processes and contribute to copyright, ethics and privacy in an ICT environment.

On successful completion of this qualification you will have a strong set of practical, hands-on foundation skills that will help you to enter the workplace as an entry-level Front-End Designer / Developer. It will also prepare you with the skills you need to undertake further study in a number of ICT qualifications at Diploma level or above.
