Gain an overview of your legal responsibility, liability and duty of care to patrons by learning how to provide responsible service of alcohol (RSA).

Delivered at our specialist hospitality and tourism facility, Drysdale, this one-day short course is a legal requirement for anyone working with alcohol products in the Hospitality industry.

You must be 15 years of age to enrol in our Responsible Service of Alcohol course noting as per the Department of Treasury (Liquor and Gaming) guidelines, you must be 16 years or older to serve alcohol on licensed premises.

In this course, you will learn about the service of alcohol and the law, as well as your legal responsibilities in providing service of alcohol to customers (RSA). You’ll also learn how to sell and serve alcohol, and provide accurate information according to organisation or house policy and government legislation.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to serve alcohol responsibly and how to assist a patron to drink within appropriate limits, as well as identify alcohol-affected customers and ways to refuse to provide alcohol to those customers who are intoxicated.
