A three-session short course where you will learn how to repair, build and maintain farm fencing

Come and learn from experienced TasTAFE teachers, real fencing skills and have all your fencing question answered, in this three-part short course. Spread over 2 weeknight sessions and a full day Saturday, this course includes a great mix of theory and hands on practical work, suitable for the raw beginner or somebody wanting to improve their skills. Small class sizes ensure you get the help you need to gain worthwhile fencing skills.

Topics include how to select the right fence for a specific purpose, how to identify and use appropriate tools and equipment, as well as knot tying, wire straining and how to install strainer post assemblies.

This course will run in all weather and conditions, so sturdy working clothes including safety footwear and rain/sun protection. You will be supplied with basic safety glasses and protective gloves.

Upon successful completion of this short course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
