Are you interested in a career in the health industry, but not sure where to start? This short course is a great way to discover the exciting opportunities that exist in the field of health.

This course is a great introduction for those who are looking for a change of career, those who haven’t studied in a while and those who are wanting to explore a new career pathway in health.

In this course, you will learn to interpret and apply medical terminology appropriately, recognise healthy body system, provide first aid as well as the application of basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control. You will also learn how to safely work in environments that provides direct care to others.

This course is delivered over a 12-month period and involves on campus classes, practical activities in our simulated learning environments and hear from those working in the industry. On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed and will gain the underlying skills required to follow a pathway into various health occupations including aged care, nursing, disability care and allied health.
