Begin your career in the meat industry and learn essential skills and knowledge about basic sausage preparation, operating a mincer and knife maintenance and safety.
This skill set covers work activities undertaken in meat enterprises including smallgoods production.
You will gain lots of hands-on experience and learn about butchery tools and equipment, processing and creating basic sausages.
You will also gain valuable knowledge in workplace hygiene and sanitation, communication and safety.
On successful completion of this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge you need to seek employment opportunities in meat processing plants and butcher’s shops.
This course will also allow you to develop the skills and expertise you need to continue your career pathway into a AMP30815 – Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) apprenticeship.
