Agricultural Training Centre of Excellence
At our Agricultural Training Centre of Excellence, you’ll learn the latest skills to prepare you for a career in Tasmania’s vibrant agriculture sector.
Located on a working farm (Freer Farm) in Burnie, our new farm-based learning centre and surrounds provide training across a range of qualifications including agriculture, dairy, conservation and ecosystem management and horticulture. Take yourself on a virtual tour of the facility now!

Cyber Security Operations Centre
Our simulated Security Operations Centre (SOC) provides training in preventing, detecting, analysing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
It features a Red Room (cyber security offense) and Blue Room (cyber security defence). Students in the red room will run simulated attacks and determine recommendations to strengthen an organisation’s security posture. The blue room focuses on securing an organisation’s critical assets against any kind of cyber security threat. Take a look for yourself!

Water and Energy Trades Centre of Excellence
At our Water and Energy Trades Centre of Excellence, you’ll receive modern training and use state-of-the-art technology that is aligned to industry.
The Centre of Excellence is our southern-based home for plumbing, gas, refrigeration, air-conditioning and electrotechnology training.
The building has a floor area of over 5000 square metres across two levels. It’s right next door to our construction and allied trades workshops. You’ll be surrounded by other students training in a range of trade sectors – take a look now!
